You hand strangers sharpened steel, or a sledgehammer and a shelf of crockery. Most booking systems treat your age limit as a line in the terms nobody reads — and leave the awkward conversation to whoever’s on the counter when a seventeen-year-old turns up with a paid ticket.
GoodKeen treats 18+ as a rule the software enforces. Every thrower’s date of birth is recorded at booking and checked on the server — before payment, before anyone is standing in your lobby. The refund argument never happens because the booking never existed.
- A date of birth per participant is captured at checkout — the organiser can’t skip anyone.

Every confirmation email carries a QR ticket; staff scan it from any phone’s browser — nothing to install. Waivers were signed at booking and DOBs already checked, so the counter queue is an ID glance and a safety briefing, not a clipboard and ten wobbly signatures.

Between sessions you sweep the shrapnel, reset the targets and wheel in the next round of breakables. Each lane and rage room is its own activity with its own weekly schedule, so the reset gap is built into the timetable — every lane side by side on one calendar. Group asks to move to 8pm? Hard capacity per lane
A lane fits six throwers, so six is the cap — enforced per session on the server. Run three lanes and two rage rooms on different cycles, all on one calendar.

Work dos, stag and hen groups want one number, paid once. Price any lane or room per thrower or at a flat group rate — both on the same activity.
15-minute checkout holds
The moment a group starts paying, their spots are held for 15 minutes with a countdown. Two hen groups can’t buy the same 7pm lane, and abandoned checkouts release on their own.

Group bookings are where guest fees bite. A work do of twelve at NZ$60 a head is a NZ$720 booking. Add a guest checkout fee — FareHarbor’s is typically 6–8%; not published, set per agreement — and that one booking can cost your guests up to roughly NZ$58 on top. Waivers for the one night someone does something daft
Straight talk about waivers in New Zealand: they don’t contract you out of the Consumer Guarantees Act, can’t waive your Health and Safety at Work Act duties, and ACC’s no-fault scheme changes what they do anyway. What a good waiver is is proof — that you spelled out the risks and the rules, and every thrower agreed before picking up an axe.

Every participant signs with finger or mouse at booking — not one organiser ticking a box for twelve mates.
The exact text, frozen
An immutable snapshot of the waiver wording they actually saw is stored with the signature — edit your waiver later and old records keep the old text.
Hash, time, IP, device
A cryptographic hash makes tampering detectable, alongside the timestamp, IP address and device. Export any record as a PDF when someone official asks.

Rage now, pay never
A rage room voucher is the perfect present for the person who’s had a year. Issue one from your admin in seconds, and the recipient redeems it online when they book — in part or in full, with the balance staying on the card. Refund a cancelled session and the money goes back to the voucher first.
